Unfortunately there does not seem to be a concise and agreed upon convention for trail difficulty, and we want to make sure that everyone coming to our events has an amazing experience and knows what they are signing up for! So, without further ado, let's get started!
Level 1: Easy
We would like to be as clear as possible; easy means EASY. Period. A stock Jeep with some good all-terrain tires can handle one of our easy events no questions asked. While our easy events usually have a range of more advanced obstacles for any more experienced wheelers that may join, all of them will always be completely optional, with bypasses.
Requirements:
-
A Jeep
Level 2: Intermediate
Going from level 1 to level 2 is most definitely the biggest jump in difficulty. We have some basic requirements for level 2, to make sure everyone can get through and have a blast.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 33” tires
- We highly recommend a Winch
- We highly recommend rock sliders and high clearance bumpers
Level 3: Advanced
This is where things begin to heat up. At this point you need to be very comfortable with your vehicle, and have a good amount of seat time on difficult trails. As far as vehicle requirements go, things get a little more strict here.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 35” tires, but we highly recommend 37s
- You must have a winch and high clearance bumpers
- You must have a fire extinguisher on board
- Your vehicle must have at least 4 point harnesses
- You must have either a DOT helmet or the Axial Off Road Helmet (Worn at all times in vehicle)
- Either a GMRS walkie/handheld CB, or onboard communication device
Level 4: Extreme (Starting in 2026)
Beginning in 2026 we will be adding one or two extreme events to our calendar. These events will be open to all customers providing they meet the vehicle requirements, and have been to at minimum, 3 advanced events.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 37” tires
- Bumpers and rock sliders
- Beadlocks
- A full roll cage
- A winch
- A fire extinguisher
- SFI or FIA rated bucket/suspension seats and 5 point harnesses
- DOT, FIA or SNELL Helmet (Open rally style is acceptable)
- On board radio and communication
